After a break of one season HCT is back in OCM. For the ones who noticed, were already racing for a while but it took some time to get the staff back together. Especially PR-manager Arnold Oos was hard to track down but now that he's back we can start doing some PR's again.
At the end of season 34 the manager decided to make a comeback in the new season. His head was clear and his mind set to reach new heights with new riders. Last time we sold riders like Tomas Swin, Yrjana Sistonen and Zlako Chaloupka which gave us a nice amount of cash to look for some new riders.
Having 0 points would mean that we had to start in the beginners division. That doesn't make things attractive for a top rider to join our team. Still our plan was set to have 1 young captain, some talents for training and further some older lead outs with experience to guide the captain.
After some hard negotiations we finally found our captain: Christopher Feaux! A 25 year old Belgian with great sprint abilities and who's also capable of surviving after 1 or 2 hills. The transfer amount was 500k! The second highest amount that we have ever paid for a rider(1st is Sistonen for 535k).
Then focusing on the talents. First Glenn Skogstad was signed:
CL: Small
DH: None
HL: Good
SP: Very good
FR: Small
CB: Small
TT: None
TQ: Small
Unfortunately he already found his max at 38. Very unlucky. After this setback 2 other got contracted:
Anastasio Ropavera
CL: Small
DH: Small
HL: Small
SP: Very good
FR: Average
CB: Average
TT: None
TQ: Small
and
Arne Eidem:
CL: Average
DH: Average
HL: Good
SP: Very good
FR: Small
CB: None
TT: Small
TQ: Small
Ropavera's training has been put on hold for now since Eidem is a better talent. He's got the same important skills as Skogstad but lets hope his max is about 10 points higher so that we can at least complete his sprint, hills, flat road and technique.
Then very important, the lead outs. Marko Fredlund, Michiel Molenaar and Miguel Bello were signed as a free transfer after being sacked by there former team. Decent and cheap squad filling. Then a team offered us Manny Pinedo and we accepted this. Again looking at the hirelist we found Cesar Zelda, Lean Rosenberg, Morton Whiddon and Dominic Helton. All old, all sacked by there former teams whilst they still have some juice in them!
Whiddon at age 32 is still one of the best cobblers around. He's a former Roubaix winner and is now resting for a build up to one final top form. Hopefully he can shine in the division 2 cobble tour, he deserves that.
Rosenberg(31)and Zelda(34) are ex Nederlandse tour stage winners. Helton(33) and Zelda have won division 1 races. Rosenberg is resting for a new top form period.
At this moment this is the best we can do. A very experienced team of lead outs with a young captain. And so far so good. Christoper Feaux has rode 9 races for us and finished three times 2nd and 6 times first. Also Zelda(3), Helton(1), Pinedo(1), Bello(1) and Fredlund(1) took some results. Which leaves us at 16 results already.
But were a bit worried for the future. It's hard to find and buy young captains/lead outs and within 2 season's all those old riders will be in a retirement home. And we have been very unlucky with our last few riders that we trained.
Lets hope that this changes and that HCT can get back to where they belong. In the second division xD

Good Luck bro!
Yeah I sacked Whiddon and Rosenberg, good luck with those bastards.
I think so. If i ever find an opening in his schedule ;) Maybe some climb or TT training then.
Good luck with Feaux. Are you going to train him more?
